Some friends of mine have been telling me that they started to shift to the cheaper generic sildenafil citrate instead of viagra. However, they have been having a lot of side effects from sidenafil such as palpitations, etc.
I have been a little sceptical because a generic medicine should be the same, right?
Solution: Yes, you are absolutely correct when you say that a generic version should be the copycat of the branded version. Even though there are cases where generic versions may contain other salts, or medicines, in case of Viagra, the active ingredient is sildenafil citrate.
So, when you buy sildenafil citrate tablets, you are effectively buying a generic copycat of branded viagra.
You should only buy medicines from licensed and regulated pharmacies like ourselves and be wary of online pharmacies which sell these medicines without prescriptions.
If your friends are suffering from those side effects, then they should immediately see their GP. Please advise them to stop taking the medicine until unless advised by their GP it is safe to do so.
